I don't think it's an NVIDIA driver bug because it wouldn't delete the EDID override. Even installing a new driver shouldn't delete the EDID override unless you're using DDU to wipe everything first. Maybe the computer is crashing while hibernating so the settings are reverting to the last booted configuration. Have you tried rebooting instead of running restart64.exe? The "ghost" monitor is not a problem. That gets created when restart64.exe restarts the graphics driver. |
