RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)

(btw, it listed 29Hz, but i entered 30Hz in the setup, not sure why is that). You said 3840x1600 is not available, but then you say 29 Hz is available. Does it stick if you choose 29 Hz? Is 30 Hz available after running restart.exe? If you can't use 60 Hz regardless, try deleting the 59.993 Hz resolution and see if that works around the problem. You said it did work the first time, and then you had the same issue as before. What you showed me should be enough to get 3840x1600 @ 30 Hz working with HDMI. As I said, CRU can't read extension blocks with Intel GPUs, but the default extension block should include HDMI support. Intel didn't even support EDID overrides until recently, so these issues are new to me. 3840x1600 @ 30 Hz should work fine with HDMI 1.4. 60 Hz requires HDMI 2.0. Does your laptop have DisplayPort? Running the 'restart.exe' seems to reset both of my laptop's LCD and the external monitor, which causes all my windows/icons to rearrange.Restarting the graphics driver affects all monitors using that GPU. I'm not aware of any method to reset a single monitor. Running restart.exe should restore the window positions after restarting. |
