Whatever overclock I do..the image doesn't fit the full panel.

AMD HD7850 and it has the clock patch.. I'm using Win 10.
The problem with using VGA with an LCD monitor is the monitor has to figure out where the image is to display it properly, and it might not do that correctly for higher refresh rates. If you can't fix it using the monitor's adjustments and trying the different timing options doesn't help, then there's nothing you can do. You should use DVI if possible.

Gonna get a dvi cable..the other AOC monitor allowed me to go to 68hz at 1080p reduced thingy..I guess the LG just sucks ass
Im trying to use this to overclock my LG 47LS4500 HDTV, I would like to see if I can get anything higher than 60hz, but no matter what I do, I can't get Radeon Aditional settings or my windows 10 display properties to show anything other than 60hz.

Im adding 1920x1080@X where x is whatever refresh rate, clicking OK, restarting the driver, and even restarting the computer, but I still cannot see any more refresh rates other than 60, what am I doing wrong?

What video card do you have? Are you using HDMI? AMD's driver listens to the TMDS clock limit in the extension block, so you might have to override that. Try importing the hdmi-audio.dat file.

I read the page for patching the driver, Im about to get a 480 in a week or so, I can wait for that I was doing this in preperation anyway to see if I could see any perceptible difference above 60 hz because I have never seen any media on a faster panel. Do you think I would notice a difference if I could get it to say, 72 hz? Would the 480 not need to have a patched driver?
I hope I'm not getting too far off topic here, and if this belongs in the Strobelight section, please move it there, but Lightboost mode exists on the 1440p monitors that support 3d vision 2!
Not only that, you can *ENABLE* Gsync and ULMB mode at the same time by exploiting what appears to either be a driver bug or a firmware bug, where ULMB gets triggered in place of Lightboost, and strobes in sync with Gsync all the way down to 40hz (where it suddenly double strobes)! If I'm understanding this right, Lightboost mode gets "enabled" by a custom resolution, but the monitor says it's in ULMB mode when it's in fact in Lightboost mode, then Gsync enables itself and it starts strobing at variable refresh rates without going out of sync (some games show bugs however).

Variable refresh rate and GSYNC is VERY well 100% possible--just being BLOCKED from us by the manufacturers Sad

What we need to know are if there are custom vertical total values that activate lightboost on 3d vision 2 supported 2560x1440p monitors, or even if the Nvidia driver can be tricked by changing the product ID to ACI27F8 ....
Allright guys, I hope I'm able to find some help here.
The Situation is as followed:
New Windows 7 PC as replacement as a Signage/Media Center PC at one of my customers. The main monitor for administration is connected via VGA, the 2nd Monitor which should show the media content is connected via FBAS. For that purpose I built in some old Nvidia 8500GT.
Now the monitor from FBAS gets recognized as Non-PNP Monitor.
I need the resolution 848x480 for the connected tv.
I tried different ways, inclusive CRU, to get that resolution somehow to work, but it only comes up for my first Monitor.
What am I doing wrong? Is it, with newer NVIDIA drivers under Win7, possible at all with a non-pnp Monitor to set such resolution? If so, please tell me how :)

First of all, thank you for your software.

Usually I make a point of honor to resolve everything alone, but my understanding is probably too limited for this !

Hardware etc :

- Asus 24" VX248H (recognized - HDMI) / Asus 23.6" VE247H (recognized - DVI) / Asus 22" VW222S (DP>VGA (active one) - PNP recognized -1680x1050 as native res) ;
- R9 FURY NITRO ;
- Eyefinity 4800x1200 with Catalyst 15.11.1 (cuz I cannot get Eyefinity working with last Crimson);
- Win10 64 Pro ;


Of course, problem is that 4800x1200 doesn't perfectly fit because of the VW222S native res, then I'm seeking to add 4800x1080 or 4800x1050.

Separately (Eyefinity disabled etc), the VW222S only propose 1600x1200 (I don't know why). I've tried to add 1680x1080 60Hz to each screen as detailed res, in order to obtain 4800x1080 with Eyefinity, and two different results come out of it after restart : 80% of the time, VW222S turns black while the other screens are ok (with 1680x1080 added) / 20% of the time, 248H & 247H turn black and 222S keeps working, except when I try to choose the new added 1680x1080, he turns black and the two other screens become operational again.

I also tried to just add 1680x1050 60Hz to the 222S (as 248/247 already propose that res), but same issue. Have tried another DP port etc...

In a word, I can't obtain all screens operationnal with 1680x1080/1050 added.

4800x1200 Eyefinity is very ugly (too stretched etc).

Considering the res I'm trying to add, I don't think it's relative to the clock speed patch. What am I doing wrong ?

Make the first detailed resolution the resolution you want to use with Eyefinity.

Here's what I would do: have two detailed resolutions only, one for 1920x1080 @ 60 Hz and one for 1680x1050 @ 60 Hz. Use "LCD standard" for both. Remove all the other resolutions, and set the extension block to custom extension block. That way those will be the only two resolutions available. Do this for all three monitors.

First, try making 1920x1080 the first detailed resolultion for all three monitors. The VW222S might be able to scale down 1920x1080. If not, make 1680x1050 the first detailed resolution for all three monitors. Then try setting up Eyefinity.

With the 1920x1080 monitors, LightBoost was just the timing parameters in the EDID +5 vertical back porch/blanking/total.

The RX 480 shouldn't need the patch if you're using HDMI or an active DisplayPort-HDMI adapter that supports 300 MHz pixel clock. If you're using a passive DisplayPort-HDMI adapter, then you'll need the patch beyond 165 MHz pixel clock. I can't say if you'll notice a difference. The TV might not even support it.
