I dont want to use Virtual super resolution.

I some how solved my problem in the past 11-27-2015, 06:33 PM.

But now if i use same settings its not working any more and i get Display Port Signal Error when switching from 60 to 120Hz.
Try adding a detailed resolution and change only the resolution and refresh rate and not the other timing parameters (total should be 1720x1125). If the monitor won't accept 1440x1080, you'll have to use GPU scaling.
Just wanted to try to add a resolution on the notebook of my brother (quado card and i7) but the resolution doesnt pop up. "no extention block" either.

What laptop is it? Laptops with Intel CPUs usually have switchable graphics, which won't work with CRU until Intel adds support for EDID overrides.

Yes, this one has an onboard GPU. Thanks, that explains it. Sadly the Nvidia Quadro has no option for Custom Resolutions. So I think the only solution would be to deactivate the Intel GPU (Which isnt possible) or a modified Nvidia Driver.

I put refresh rate to 120.00Hz and its not working.
Its strange if i put 122.031 to refresh rate in CRU and set 1440x1080 to 120Hz its working and when i set 122Hz i get display port signal error...

When i start CS:GO and set resolution 1440 i get signal error so game is using 122Hz, i need to solve it some how.

EDIT: i get it to work some how, but i have black bars in the game and cant stretch it to full screen AMD crimson sucks..
Forgive me if this has been answered, and I'm sure it probably has. I have a GTX 1070 hooked via HDMI 2.0 to a Sceptre 43" 4k TV (4k@60Hz), and Windows 7 disconnects the display after you turn off the TV then shifts everything over to my other screen which is connected via DVI (I'm sure this is a result of the auto monitor detection "feature"). Can this utility fix this issue? I'm trying to avoid buying something expensive like an EDID emulator if at all possible. Thanks!

Windows does not disconnect the display. The TV is disconnecting itself when you turn it off. If Windows did not move the windows over to the other monitor, the windows would be stuck on a non-existent display.

CRU can't work around this because it doesn't emulate the EDID, and I don't know any driver settings that can work around this with consumer cards. If I eventually find a way, it will be a separate program.

The only other way is through hardware, either by using a device to emulate the EDID or by using a modified cable or adapter to disable hotplug detection. This is the cheapest I've found for HDMI: http://monitordetectkiller.com/

Your monitor can't seem to display 1440x1080 @ 120 Hz. When you add 1440x1080 @ 122 Hz, you're not adding 1440x1080 @ 120 Hz, so it's being scaled automatically. You need to add 1440x1080 @ 120 Hz or 60 Hz and turn on GPU scaling. If you send 1440x1080 to the monitor, the GPU scaling options will not work.

Sadly that device can only function at 30Hz for 4k video (I emailed the maker to be sure). Guess its time to spend some real money!
Toasty, can you comment on this?
