Hey Guys

Could you help me on getting 1728x1080 75hz (Overclock) resolution with black bars in my 23mp55hq Monitor ? (Default 1920x1080 60hz)
In my tries, i could get 1728x1080 75hz, but the screen is stretched. And if i change the aspect ratio on my monitor, it goes to 4:3 and become very blurry.
My question is: Could i get 1728x1080 in 16:10 original aspect ratio by changing any settings in CRU?

No, the timing parameters don't control scaling. If the monitor can't scale the resolution correctly, use GPU scaling.

I don't know why that would add 59 Hz, but you should be able to reproduce it by adding an extension block with nothing in it.

Indeed, I can reproduce 59Hz with 1.4 too now by adding an extension block with nothing or a detail resolution in it. However, I still can't can't get 75Hz to appear, in fact I can't seem to create custom resolutions like (1820x1080 60Hz) to appear too...

I guess I'm on the same boat as many I see here.
I believe windows 10 has changed how it sees resolutions.

I use a software that can change resolutions by hotkey.
And adding 1920x1080 at 120hz that my TV can display (Sony X900E) it won't read this resolution.
It only will read the resolution if I add it with Nvidia Custom Resolution.

But it reads it if I press raw. Even with the resolution showing up on the Nvidia CP. The resolution won't show up in Windows.

So what I'm trying here is installing the EDID information from CRU but even that I'm on Test mode.
Even with integrity checks disabled.

bcdedit /set testsigning on

and

bcdedit /set nointegritychecks off

I still get this inf file has no digital signature while trying to install it.

Is there any way to bypass that on Windows 10?

EDIT: Just installed the inf file.
And just in case patched the driver limitation and nothing.

Windows won't show 120hz. The only way I can get it to work is with nvidia control panel custom resolution.
And for some odd reason the emulator I'm using ignores 120hz and even my display showing 120hz it keeps running at 60hz.

I don't know what you mean. There should be no issues with Windows 10. How exactly are you adding 120 Hz with CRU? What video card do you have?

The only thing that concerns me is why the monitor name says "1024x768 60Hz." That shouldn't matter, but I don't know if Intel's driver listens to the installed monitor information. What happens if you uninstall the monitor "driver" in the device manager so it says "Generic PnP Monitor" instead?

1080 Ti. Latest Nvidia drivers 398.36.

I have added it to detailed resolutions.
To standard resolutions.
To detailed resolutions and in tv resolutions.

It won't show up in NV CP and under monitor supported resolutions in Windows 10.

I really think something changed in some windows update somewhere because this used to be easy.
Now the only way to get custom resolutions is trought Nvidia CP

Make sure GPU scaling is disabled. Don't add it as a standard resolution.

That concerned me as well, so I tried messing around with that by uninstalling and changing the drivers of the monitor. The results were:
If I uninstall and then "Scan for hardware changes" or uninstall and reboot, it will come back to "Digital Flat Panel (1024x768 60Hz)". I tried changing the drivers to "Generic PnP Monitor", but no success to use CRU with that as well

hi guys,
first of all pardon my ignorance.
I have an Asus PG278QR 1440p@144hz, I read on some forums that it is reccomended to use CRU in order to minimize the input lag.
My monitor is g-sync capable and I has some input lag problems using trackir device for playing DCS ( digital combat simulator), so I'd like to know if is it a good idea to use CRU by deleting all the uncessary resolution of the monitor and keeping only the resolution I need for my game.
The game supports natively 1440p resolution but I am afraid it does not support higher refresh rates (it's just a theory as there is no such option in game to select the resfresh rate as in other games).
