I wanted to say this is a fantastic utility. It works great for creating supersampled display for VR headset (with VorpX driver)
However, I wish to create a 3840x2880 resolution using a DisplayID extension block. However, whilst I can create this in CRU, it does not show up in the Nvidia control panel.
I can create detailed resolution up to the 650Mhz normally.
Do I need to do something else to get DisplayID resolutions to be available.
Note: I have successfully run the Nvidia driver patcher. I am using Nvidia driver 416.16. I have had no problem creating a 2800x2100 90Hz resolution.
Any ideas?

3840x2880 requires a lot of bandwidth. If you can create lower resolutions using the DisplayID block but not 3840x2880, then it's probably a pixel clock limit. The patcher has no effect on DisplayPort limits.

Hi, I am looking for some help as I do not know too much on the topic.
Firstly, my Default Res is 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz on my laptop display.
Using CRU i am able to get to 100Hz with the following parameters in the detailed resolution:
H V
Active: 1920 1080
Front P: 48 3
Sync W: 32 5
Back P: 80 45
Blanking: 160 53
Total: 2080 1133
Polarity: + +
Refresh Rate: 100Hz
When using the custom resolution, there are many vertical lines visible on the screen, but only visible on certain colours. On blue they are most noticeable, on white they are not noticeable at all.
I have tried using different refresh rates, at anything above 60, they are there, but become more noticeable as the refresh rate increases.
Any suggestions?
I have followed the guide, but my screen started flickering, and didn't stop even when I reset everything. So I assume I messed up my defaults?
Here are my current settings. It would be great if someone could send me the correct ones, because my eyes are starting to hurt quite a bit.
I already tried the Ctrl+Alt+F8 combo, but it does not help. Is there anything I can try?

Your screen shot shows you still have an override in effect, but I don't see anything wrong with the resolution parameters. Run reset-all.exe and reboot. If that doesn't stop the flickering, then wait a few hours. I once saw a screen that would flicker when trying parameters it couldn't handle, and the flickering took a few hours to fade away.

Sounds like the panel doesn't like higher refresh rates.

Reset-all and reboot unfortunately didn't help, waiting seems to make it get better. The flickering is still here, but at a lower frequency. I will update if anything changes
