I haven't used a CRT in a long time, and when I did, I didn't find interlaced resolutions to be pleasing.

Have you ever seen a crt monitor arriving at 480hz?

No, even at a very low resolution, that would require a horizontal scan rate higher than most CRT monitors would support.

I have a metabox P650RS-G laptop with a 4k Screen that has G-sync. Would I be able to scale it down to 108P without having blur?

In the hdr metadata block, what does it mean to be "traditional gamma -sdr" (checked for me)
and "traditional gamma -hdr" (unchecked) ?

Also is it possible to create a dynamic metadata profil with CRU?

Hey guys, I was hoping someone could help me out with this one...
I'm using a HDTV connected via HDMI, and for some reason, fullscreen applications (games) cause the tv to fully restart when I launch them. Some of them, like RE2 Remake, causes it to restart even by going to the options menu. Even changing display settings on Nvidia control panel does it.
So today I found out about CRU, and deleting the extention blocks fixed this issue!
The problem is, since it is now recognized as a DVI connection, full range RGB is enabled. My tv doesn't really like fullrange and the colors get all messed up and oversaturated.

Is there anything I can do to make this work? Make it appear as DVI and keep limited range? Or maybe some combination that can stop it restarting when going fullscreen?
I already tried everything possible on the nvidia control panel.

Unfortunately, the graphics driver won't offer a limited range option with DVI, and using custom color settings won't affect full screen games.

Two things you can try:

1. Try adding a CEA-861 extension block with only HDMI support in it. The actual resolution shouldn't ever change if you only have one detailed resolution for the native resolution and no other resolutions. If this still triggers the problem, then the TV is doing something weird with HDMI.

2. Edit the detailed resolution and try "LCD reduced" timing. The TV might treat that differently and display the correct colors.

It just describes whether the monitor supports traditional gamma with SDR and HDR luminance ranges.

Not currently. The HDR dynamic metadata block is a bit complicated to implement and not really useful to edit.

I guess I'll just have to invest in a monitor.
