hmm at my TV i had already enabled Deep Color (it is called extended format at Sony)...

I use it for 3840x2160 60 Hz so HDMI 2.0 would be captable for 10 bpc and yCbCr420 with Limited dynamic range.
That is what i want, but i have just 8bpc here... funny thing, few days ago i had the 10 bpc option there.. so don't know

is ther any idea, how i can force 10 bpc in nvidia system control?

Well the first problem I see is the color format should not be YCbCr 4:2:0 at 8 bpc unless it's running in HDMI 1.4 mode instead of HDMI 2.0. Some TVs have an option that you have to enable to get HDMI 2.0 and deep color, but if CRU already shows an HDMI 2.0 data block, then I don't know.

hmm... it looks like my Displayport 1.2 to HDMI Adapter is the problem...
if i connect the TV directly to the HDMI Output of my GTX1070 i got 8 bpc or 12 bpc also more color formats...
but i need it on the Display Port Output with an HDMI Adapter... otherwise i can't use my second TV in my multi-room setup.

not sure why, but few days ago, also with the adapter it worked... hmmm strange...

Overclocking is the same as setting custom resolutions. CRU doesn't deal with overscan. There should be an option in the Intel graphics control panel somewhere to compensate for overscan.

That is totally dependent on the which Intel driver you have installed. Using The Intel® Driver & Support Assistant installs the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel. The driver for my adapter installs a version of the control panel that does not support resizing of your screen. On my other PC the control panel has sliders to set the screen size. As I said I am not able to understand your directions for CRU. A resolution of 1880 X 1020 would result in my PC's display fitting my TV screen. Thank you for your reply.

Then add a detailed resolution with active set to 1880x1020. I don't know if that will work because the TV might just overscan that as well. If that's the case, try setting the scaling in the Intel control panel to center the resolution.
Hey guys quick question please. I have an old 2560x1440p korean monitor the Catleap from way back in 2012, yes the one that overclocks great. I just upgraded to the new Radeon 2020 Adrenaline today and when I was creating my new resolutions something occurred to me that I know would probably only be answered here.

If I use 1440p at 60Hz (native res) for everything in Windows 10 but launch games at 1080p, will the game be using the custom 1080p @ 100Hz resolution that I created using CRU? Or does the game just set its very own 1080p 60Hz resolution? And if so, is there a way to make games launch the custom 100Hz res when the game starts but automatically go back to 1440p 60Hz when the game quits? I'm only really interested in 100Hz when playing fast paced games.

The Catleap can't display 1920x1080 @ 100 Hz directly, so you have to add 2560x1440 @ 100 Hz. The graphics driver will automatically add some common lower resolutions as scaled resolutions with the same refresh rate. If the game has its own resolution options, you can set the resolution and refresh rate directly, and it will not affect the desktop resolution. Otherwise, some games use the desktop refresh rate. In that case, you can use something like this to create custom shortcuts: http://www.bcheck.net/apps/reso.htm
Hey Toasty, just put a 8500 GT in my system strictly to use for interlaced resolutions. The interlaced resolutions were bugged for the 8500's Windows 10 drivers, so I tried to install some very old Windows 7 drivers from 2009.

Now CRU resolutions don't show up period for the card, progressive or interlaced. Any clue why using a driver that old would break EDID overriding?

Windows has also gone through a lot of changes since 7, so older drivers might not fully work correctly with Windows 10. The 8500 GT is old enough that PowerStrip might work. I would recommend using a newer card that supports VGA but is still supported in Windows 10 like the Radeon HD 7850.
Yeah, I'm basically just experimenting with what old Nvidia cards I can use for the rare occasion where I want interlaced from my Radeon 5700xt, since I don't think DP>VGA converters will ever support interlaced, or if DP connections themselves even support it. I'll probably try the GTX 500 or 600 series next.

But that leads me to my next issue: my Radeon 5700xt also completely ignores CRU when I use my DP>VGA adapter (Sunix DPU3000). I'm not sure if this is a problem for every displayport connection, or just my adapter since it's technically a splitter using the MST feature of displayport.

I saw someone else mention CRU being ignored when using one of the Sunix adapters, but I don't have one of those adapters to see what the problem is. DisplayPort shouldn't be an issue.
