RTX supports Display Stream Compression with DisplayPort 1.4 which can triple effective bandwidth, but that doesn't matter since the lg display does not support DisplayPort 1.4 or DSC. Nvidia Pascal cards support DisplayPort 1.4 but do not support DSC. On the AMD side, Navi cards support DSC but earlier cards do not.
At least one user over on AVS Forum is reporting having trouble getting Windows to show refresh rates with a pixel clock greater than 600 on a GTX 1080Ti; any insight into the issue?:
Quote:According to CRU, max pixel clock is 1190. Just when I add a custom resolution above 600 pixel clock, it won't be available in Windows, whereas anything below 600 shows. For reference, the first pic displays the custom 90Hz resolution I'm adding in the extension block field. Also adding a custom 55Hz res (pic 2). After hitting restart64.exe, only the 55Hz res shows in Windows (pic 3).

Also, can I just say "holy bananas" at a mere 10KB limit for avatars - I was looking to update my avatar from my current (which I've not updated since I've registered) and that 10KB limit is kind of nuts even for mobile internet let alone home internet connections. I had to shrink my updated avatar down to 61x57 and then compress the absolute snot out of it (zopfli @ 500 iterations + a run through "PNGGauntlet") just to fit under the 10KB limit without losing the alpha transparency.

For reference the dolphin-emu.org forum also runs on MyBB and has the same 100x100 avatar dimensions limit but instead has a maximum file size limit of 100KB.

HDMI 2.0 is limited to 600 MHz.

10 kB is the default. I've changed it to 100.
Thank you for bumping up the avatar file size limit.

Well then how are people outputting 120Hz 4k with 8bit 4:2:0 over HDMI 2.0? Surely that uses more than 600 MHz (and it obviously fits bandwidth-wise as it's the same bandwidth as 60Hz 4k with 8bit 4:4:4).

To clarify, people aren't adding such a mode via CRU, rather several 4k displays on the market already support that out-of-the-box through their stock EDID. So are you basically saying that, despite such a mode being physically possible and already present in shipping products, CRU simply cannot create such a mode?
Hello, I am just wondering if there are drivers for the 8th Gen CPU? I have i5-8300H Laptop CPU and I can't find it for Coffe Lake. I have done Googling and I don't find anything. Thanks for your time!
Hi

I have a problem with nvidia surround.
My setup - 3 monitores Benq ex2780q 2k- standart resolution 2560x1440 - 144mhz, my graphic card is the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 Super Gaming OC 8GB. All connected with DP cables.

all monitors have the exactly same settings, confirmed by the CRU program.

The problem, when i try to setup surround in nvidia control panel the only resolution avaiable is 72.. x 2160, so the image is bad. i cannot change 2160 to 1440.

I tried the CRU app, but i cannot add the standart resolution 2160x1440, it stays in RED. In the detailed resolution it s fine. I have the exact same issu as in this video, but with diferent hardware. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAjV40CnAeA&t=104s

Any ideias?

Thank you

As Toasty says, you don't need a specific driver for these GPUs.

Okay, I just tried to change my refreshrate but when going in Advanced Display or Intel Control Panel it still shows 60hz even tho I put 65hz. Let me notice that there doesn't exist to choose between 60hz or 65hz on the list. Also tested in UFO Test and it shows 60hz. Any Ideas why? What I did: I click edit active one monitor, in my case Generic PnP Monitor which is my laptop monitor > entered 65hz > Clicked Ok > and then restart64.exe

EDIT: Okey, I had to completely reboot the whole system but unfourtunetly my monitor cannot go beyond 65hz and at that point already acts funky, sometimes cursor seems pixelated or like black dots on it. I dont know how to explain. My Display is LGD05E5 for anyone who may have it. So thanks for help anyway!

You can't add 2560x1440 as a standard resolution. Use detailed resolutions, but if you have three of the same monitor, then you shouldn't have to add it.

You can't add 2560x1440 as a standard resolution. Use detailed resolutions, but if you have three of the same monitor, then you shouldn't have to add it.

The correct resolution in "detail resolutions" is detected correct by the program CRU, but in nvidia surround only assumes 11580x2160, as if the monitor are 3840x2160. they actualy accept that resoltion, but they are native 2560x1440.
