That's all you need to do to add the resolution. Make sure to delete the old resolution in the other extension block so that doesn't take effect.

Yes, but the only way that could have worked before is if you used the driver listed in the first post, but you said you can't use that driver. Other drivers didn't support EDID overrides and would have no effect with CRU.

Since this is my first time with a monitor that has variable refresh rate feature, I thought that the frequency range is also range for variable refresh rate.
I have checked the monitor's webpage and its manual but there is no advised/advertised range for variable refresh rate.
And your guess is correct, upper and lower horizontal range limits are equal to each other.
So, in this case is there any need to touch/change anything else other than vertical rate limits? For instance the other data blocks, such as colorimetry, hdr static metadata, video capability etc.

You don't need to change anything else. ViewSonic doesn't specify what the range should be anywhere. If it is supposed to support 24-75 Hz but that doesn't work correctly, then I would consider that to be a defect of the monitor. If it is supposed to be 48-75 Hz as defined in the FreeSync data block, then either ViewSonic didn't define the range limits correctly, or NVIDIA's driver is using the wrong range. Normally DisplayPort uses the range limits and not the FreeSync data block, but I don't know what's supposed to happen if the FreeSync data block exists with DisplayPort and doesn't match the range limits. The FreeSync data block is AMD-specific, so maybe it works correctly with AMD GPUs and NVIDIA ignores it. This is something you might want to contact ViewSonic about because you shouldn't need to tweak anything out of the box.

Also it seems if I make any changes at all to the extension blocks for 300hz and 360hz, they both stop working and forces 240hz only in Nvidia control panel, I can create 363hz on Nvidia control panel and CRU but cannot make any changes on CRU, it only allows me to use "Automatic PC" timing
CRU is separate from NVIDIA control panel custom resolutions. Run reset-all.exe and restart. Then export a file using CRU. Then make the changes you wanted to make. Then export another file. Post both files here so I can take a look.

I can not raise the frequency above 75 hertz, through the graphics driver or nvidia amd writes that the display is not supported, through the CRU can not be added due to the fact that the display has already entered 4 profiles with a hertz and their CRU can not change in any way, in this case, how can you raise the hertz frequency or it's display locked from the factory to increase the hertz?
P.S Freesync was disabled when trying to overclock

Hello all,
since I have now spent hours trying to solve the problem myself but unfortunately can not find a proper solution I turn to you.
Since yesterday I have upgraded my monitor from a Gigabyte M32U to a Samsung 43QN90B and unfortunately had to realize that in the Nvidia driver (latest installed yesterday) the DSR function is gone.
Since I play almost all single player games with DSR, this is a very important function for me.
Here are a few things that i tried.
Completely uninstalled the DDU driver and reinstalled the newest one - no success.
Old monitor (M32U) plugged in and DSR is directly available
On the new monitor/TV game mode on and off which did not help.
Then I can take the idea of the tool CRU with which you can overwrite various settings of the monitor.
But here I do not get on so right.
I had it once so run that I had DSR enabled again but then only 30/60hz at 4k could select in the Nvidia driver, 144 was no longer present.
I then reset everything and restarted so that I at least have restored 4K/144Hz.
So it is definitely the device itself and its identification to the RTX4090 or Windows 11.
Does anyone have ne idea how I can set up with the help of CRU that he 4K 144HZ 10/12bit and DSR enabled?
btw: On the HDMI 2.1 cable it does not work either, that runs on the M32U with DSR without problems in the cross test.
OR
Do you know another solution how to set higher resolutions with cru - without Nvidia driver?
I would like to have the 5120 (I think 1.78) and 5760 (2.25x) scaling again to be able to use DLSS.

NVIDIA does not currently support DSR with display stream compression (DSC). In theory, 3840x2160 @ 144 Hz at 8/10 bpc should be possible without DSC with HDMI 2.1 at 48 Gbps, but not with DisplayPort. Were you using DisplayPort or HDMI with the M32U? Export a file for each monitor using CRU and post them here.

M32U was with DP cable and the TV has only HDMI 2.1
I dont have the M32U anymore but i have make some screenshots from cru before.
4k 144hz 8bit were great for me with DSR. But when iam set this DSR is not showing directly. I can try to restart or using cru reset64.exe.
edit: i have test 100hz, 4.2.0, 8bit but DSR is not showing :-(

The thing is I try to add or edit a hertz frequency higher than 75 hertz, but the hertz profiles display in Windows 10 just does not change, just static display 4 profiles and it is 50/59/60/75 hertz, CRU settings are just ignored
