I wouldn't expect a 1280x1024 monitor to accept 1366x768. That's wider than the native resolution.

I don't understand what you're saying. Refresh rates don't need to be integers. That wouldn't cause horizontal lines to appear.

I only found the tool today I used it to increase the refresh rate from 60hz to 120hz for QHD resolution (2560*1440).
It is an AOC 4k/60hz (aoc u2790pqu).
It shows in the windows settings and in the AMD driver software that it is running with 120hz now.
So is it really true, that it is running with 120hz now?
And does this mean I don't really need a gaming screen if I only want more refresh rate?
I kind of still can't believe it which is why I'm asking ^^

You shouldn't need to ask that. The difference should be obvious just by moving the mouse if it is true.
Hey Toasty, is this a know issue?
On the newest nvidia driver with the newest cru, the display settings area in nvidia control panel is hidden after making changes and restarting.
There are a few things I was using cru for, but the main ones are removing the useless 4096x2160 resolution that shows up on all 4k tvs, as it messes up a few things, and enabling 24 bit pcm audio, since things get confused when I passthough from my tv to my receiver.

I've just bought a used laptop. It's a Honor Magicbook Pro with a MX350 and a I5 10210U. It is using Nvidia Optimus. Apparently, my HDMI is locked at 300Mhz, just like it says on your description "Intel GPUs without HDMI 2.0 support up to 300.99 MHz.". It seems that my computer has a HDMI 1.4, 1 USB-C that is NOT thunderbolt, and 3 USB 3.2 Gen1. So, I would like to know if there is any way to get 1080P 144Hz output (maybe with an USB-C -> DP adapter ?). Thanks for reading my comment, and sorry for my bad english. huh, but 1920x1080 is wider too, but works fine,
i dont think its about number of pixels, because the gpu and monitor have internal scalers\mixers
I only have an SDR display, but I found this tool to see how HDR behaves in games.
However, even if I edit the EDID with this tool, win10 doesn't seem to recognize the HDR metadata. Data other than HDR, such as refresh rate, could be changed.
Is there a bug in HDR?
