(12-13-2023 11:41 AM)bignap Wrote: [ -> ]I need help, for several days I've been trying to set up one computer with a GeForce 3050 and two Optoma 1080p projectors. They are connected via DisplayPort. Each projector has a resolution of 1920x1080, but when I enable Surround, I only get a single resolution option of 8192x3840. While working with CRU , I managed to achieve a Surround resolution of 3840x1080 (which is what I need), and everything works great. However, when I restart the computer, the second projector never turns on, all settings reset, and Surround sets the resolution back to 1920x1080. Guys, I'm asking for help, I've tried everything already, can anyone assist with this issue? How do I make sure that upon restarting, the second projector turns on?
If Surround resets after rebooting, that's a driver bug that needs to be reported to NVIDIA. Some details don't make sense though. If the two projectors are identical, there shouldn't be any issues with Surround. 8192x3840 doesn't make sense for Surround with two projectors unless the projectors define 4096x3840, which I doubt 1080p projectors would do. The second projector not turning on doesn't make sense either unless it's disabled in the Windows display settings. This sounds like NVIDIA's driver not working correctly unless I'm missing something.
(12-11-2023 11:17 PM)vol.2 Wrote: [ -> ]I'm trying to troubleshoot an issue with DOSBox Staging (which uses SDL 2.0) where it's not properly displaying resolutions above 640x400 on my monitors unless I explicitly force them, which is a pain in DOSBox because the console is almost always a different resolution from the game you are playing, and some games switch resolutions in menus.

I thought maybe Staging was looking at the NV_modes list for resolutions, but that didn't really change anything for me.

Now I'm thinking maybe it's something to do with Standard Resolutions vs Detailed, but I'm getting a bit lost trying to figure it out. For one thing, I absolutely can get all the resolution to appear as long as I force them, it's just the switching around that seems to bork things.

I also am not using any extension blocks for anything other than my projector. For my CRT, I have 640x400 and 800x600 as detailed, and the rest as standard.

For the sake of simplicity, I'm just trying to get Blood and Quake to both run in 800x600, which should be fairly simple. DOSBox opens in 640x480 and then it jumps to 800x600 when the game launches. Staging is then downscaling the image to 544x400 and displaying it in the lower lefthand corner of a 800x600 fullscreen
The details of how the resolutions are defined only matter to the graphics driver. The only thing that might matter is if DOSBox Staging is looking at the preferred/native resolution to determine how to scale and you have the first detailed resolution set to 640x400, it might be trying to scale to that but messing up somewhere. This definitely sounds like some bug with DOSBox Staging.

I have no idea what you're talking about. You need to be more specific. What exactly are you doing?

When I go in to create a custom resolution I put in 360 hz and it turns red

So it worked in the extension blocks but how do I make it not show red in detailed resolutions

It works for 360 hz in extension blocks but in detailed resolutions there is still red lettering when I try to put 360 hz

Toasty I recently posted about 360 hz it now works in extension blocks but it still is red when I try to put it in detailed resolutions

Why are you trying to add it in two places? You only need it once.

i added it in the extension blocks how do i set the stretched res up from there?

Stretching is handled by the monitor or GPU scaling, not CRU.
