Hello,

Is it possible to enable VRR on the TCL c845? I've tried adding freesync range into the extension block but didnt work. Also I've tried to set the range in the Variable refresh rate option for the hdmi 2.1 support entry (defaults is blank) but that gives me a black screen and everything breaks. If you guys have any tips how to make this work please tell me!!! There are some prints bellow for the settings!!

You shouldn't be using CRU like this. If the TV supports VRR, it should already be defined. You might need to enable VRR in the TV's settings. It should be explained in the TV's manual somewhere. I think for TCL TVs, you need to have Game Master on.

Just scan is greyed out but set to On, in TV's settings.

I plan to upgrade soon to Win 11 and I will try this again once I do. Maybe I will have more luck there. Thank you.
Windows 11 wouldn't make a difference. The native resolution is always sent to the TV, so the TV is the one doing the upscaling. You need to find a way to make the TV not upscale. The "just scan" option should not upscale, and if it's not available, then some other setting is causing it to be disabled.

The custom resolution you created in the NVIDIA control panel must have been a GPU-scaled resolution because if it were sent to the TV, the behavior would be the same as with CRU. When you create a custom resolution in the NVIDIA control panel, the active resolution is the resolution sent to the TV, not the display mode at the top, so if those are different, you end up with a GPU-scaled resolution.

I admit I don't have any idea where would I find such an option. Googled a bit but nothing relevant came up. I did a clean reinstall of several drivers and every time the result was the same.

But I found kind of a workaround. In CRU, under Extension blocks/CTA-861 I created a detailed 3824x2151 resolution. That way, in NV control panel, it is considered as regular monitor resolution, not a custom one. I turned on DLDSR and while it uses a 3840x2160 as a baseline, I get to keep 3824x2151 for desktop and most of the games.

That is supposed to work if the monitor supports the timing. Do you have any other monitors connected?

No other Monitors connected.

I was able to use these settings in nvidia driver custom resolution successfully but only without DSR.
With DSR on, the customres setting in nvidia driver is greyed out/disabled.
Hello,

I have a GTX 1070 with three DisplayPort ports, with the first two ports connected to two different monitors and the last port connected to a DisplayPort to VGA converter. My goal is to output a downscaled duplicate of the content being shown on my main monitor onto the port that the DisplayPort to VGA converter is connected to, so that I can process the pixel data on a microcontroller for a project I am working on.

Currently, I am planning on cloning and downscaling what is displayed on my main monitor using the NVIDIA control panel, which I have confirmed works by testing it on my second monitor. The issue is that I have no idea on how I can output the duplicated data onto the last DisplayPort port of my GPU, as the DisplayPort to VGA converter does not send any EDID data to the GPU for the GPU to recognize it.

Is there perhaps some way I can use CRU to trick my GPU into thinking that a 640x480 60 Hz display (the Automatic CRU profile) is connected to its third DisplayPort port? I would greatly appreciate any help on this topic.

Thank you & best regards,

No, a display needs to be recognized by the graphics driver for it to be usable in Windows. You can connect an EDID emulator to get a signal. HDMI EDID emulators are easier to find, so you might have better luck with an HDMI to VGA adapter, or you can try a VGA EDID emulator with the DisplayPort to VGA converter.

I wonder if it's the 0 back porch. Try copying the same timing parameters as 99.982 Hz (14/32/34).
Couple of days ago I posted here and I was excited to try DLDSR+DLSS combo but after testing, due to various reasons (game does not want to save the DLDSR resolution so it has to be chosen again every time you start the game / another game accepted DLDSR resolution, but maximum allowed refresh rate was 60Hz / yet another game didn't even show the DLDSR res in video options etc ) I decided to lay off the DLDSR until NVidia comes up with more reliable way to supersample the resolution in games.

However, when I disabled DLDSR and went back to my old custom 3824x2151 resolution created in control panel I noticed one thing that might be of interest to some people here.

Maybe you've noticed when you start some games you get several seconds of freeze/black screen before the game starts loading. One of the solutions presented on Reddit was to delete unused resloutions in both CRU and SRE. As an example I'll use Team Fortress 2 as I play it often. Game is set to play in fullscreen.
- when I used 3824x2151 resolution created in CRU with "Automatic (PC)" timings, black screen usually took 4-5 seconds every time i started TF2
- when I changed windows desktop and TF2 to default 3840x2160 resolution, black screen took about the same amount of time
- however, when I created a custom 3824x2151 resolution in NV control panel, with automatic timings (tried to use CVT-Reduced blank at first, but LG C1 couldn't display the image, as if it was out of range), black screen before the game only takes one second now. I'm not 100% sure, but I think can see the windows desktop a split second faster now after the boot.
i screwed up enabling topology in id1.3 and now my monitor is in black screen.
i can boot up into safemode and have monitor working.
i run resetall and restart but it doesnt fix it.
how do i start cru in safemode or initialize the display to detect in safemode?
how do i reset everything?

how do i reset everything?
Running reset-all.exe should reset everything. If not, then the graphics driver must be doing something weird. Try using DDU to uninstall the graphics driver in safe mode: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/display-driv...aller-DDU-
