You need to be more specific. What monitors are these? How is each monitor connected? HDMI? DisplayPort? Is this a desktop or laptop? What changes are you making? Did you make the same changes on both monitors?

You need to make sure you have a good enough cable. If that doesn't help, it could be a monitor firmware bug or an NVIDIA driver bug.

It has two. These machines were very customizable when ordering. I ordered it with 2 HDMI ports. I can post a photo if I need to prove it.

Is the problem isolated to a specific port or a certain monitor? Can you check each monitor individually on each port?

Both Monitors work in the primary port, just not the second port.
I'll work on getting the EDIDs.
hello! this isn't a problem with CRU per se but i have an issue that CRU seems to have caused. for the past week or so I've been putting 576i at 50hz over hdmi into an analogue converter to get PAL video for a TV. I used CRU to create a custom cta-861 block and windows was totally fine with it, it worked perfectly until i used CRU to create a different unrelated resolution and now the hdmi converter will not be recognised by windows as an active monitor at all if i try to put an interlaced resolution into it. I can put literally any progressive resolution into it (although it appears scrambled on screen obviously) but the instant i choose an interlaced resolution, windows's display settings say the monitor "isn't active", blanks the screen and will not allow me to change any settings, so i have to reinstall the device.
I have tried:
- reinstalling the display device
- deleting all resolutions bar 576i in CRU
- updating my graphics drivers
- deleting information from every hdmi device i've ever used from the windows registry
- updating my display adapter drivers
- straight up replacing the display adapter drivers with one that only allows 576i
literally nothing works and i am completely baffled because i KNOW it does work! i've done it before!
i'm using intel's UHD graphics on the latest version of windows 10. i'd really appreciate any ideas as to what's gone wrong

576i is supposed to be 1440x576i. HDMI doesn't officially support pixel clocks less than 25 MHz. The driver shouldn't have let you choose 720x576i if the hardware can't do it, so that's a bug in Intel's driver.
oh! that works perfectly! thanks very much im glad i know that now. i assume me updating the intel driver must have patched a bug out hence me being completely unable to recreate it. much appreciated!

okay, sorry, it appears i spoke too soon, obviously with double the resolution everything is now squashed by 50% - is there a way i can keep the aspect ratio at 4:3 while maintaining the resolution?

Windows doesn't have any concept of aspect ratios and only supports square pixels, so the only way I can think of is to add 720x576p @ 50 Hz and set the GPU scaling option to stretched in Intel's control panel and hope that it will scale 720x576p to 1440x576i. 1440x576i @ 50 Hz would need to be the first detailed resolution to make it native.
Really 576i is supposed to be double-clocked so each pixel is repeated twice, but the EDID standard doesn't have a way to specify double clocking. You can also try adding 576i as a TV resolution by choosing "Other resolution" and entering code 21. I didn't include that because AMD and NVIDIA ignore it, but maybe Intel will listen to it and double clock it.
