Hello, I've just purchased a Philips 275E1S display, which is capable of a 2560 x 1440 resolution. I've connected the VGA video output from my MSI A68HM-P33 V2 (MS-7895) (P0) mainboard to the VGA input of the display and I can get up to 1920 x 1080.
Since the display has VGA, HDMI and DP inputs only, I'm wondering if I could obtain a 2560 x 1440 using either a DVI-to-HDMI or a DVI-to-DP passive adapter.
I've found a old thread where someone posted a link to a and I'd like to know if someone has successfully achieved what I'm trying to do, using the pixel clock patcher for AMD/ATI or any other trick, but using only passive converters/cables.
Thank you.
Regards
