Hey Guys,

Just got this gorgeous monitor, incredible for the price however struggling to overclock it. I have an Asus X552CL Laptop with Intel 4000 + Nvidia GT710M connected via HDMI, have tried CRU Tool with no success despite trying every option patching, custom timings and settings.

Any idea how I can get this to at least 70Hz or 75Hz would be ideal. Can't seem to target the Nvidia Chipset even when disabling the Intel 4000 in device manager.

Thanks.
For laptops with switchable graphics, you have to use Intel's CustomModeApp.exe: http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-029478.htm

Intel's driver does not support EDID overrides, so CRU will not work.

Thank you for that, got it working however I am noticing colour distortion around text, I would describe it as '3D effect' I understand there may be some negatives with overclocking but do you know what causes this?

I took your Samsung 2333T settings from the HardForum running at 76Hz.

Thanks.

I don't know what you mean by 3D effect. There shouldn't be any distortion with higher refresh rates. The monitor might not be able to handle those timing parameters. Try copying the "LCD reduced" timing parameters from CRU, and if the 76 Hz timing parameters don't work, try 75 Hz.

Hi again,

I now have a desktop system with an AMD XFX 7950 DD Ghost using mini display port, am I able to get higher than 76Hz with this perhaps with DisplayPort 1.2?

Thanks.
Supposedly the P2412H can get 80 Hz with DisplayPort, but I don't know about the U2412H.

I used the settings for the Samsung 2333T you posted here: http://hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=1038...ostcount=6

I can't find a way to increase these settings since I don't know exactly what I am doing to be honest. I understand the Pixel Clock needed to be under 165 with HDMI/DVI but doesn't this change when using DisplayPort?

Thanks.

Why not just use the "LCD reduced" timing option? Does that not work at 76 Hz?

DisplayPort doesn't have a 165 MHz limit, but the monitor might only work at 80 Hz with certain timing parameters. Supposedly the 72 Hz timing parameters will work at 80 Hz with the P2412H. Try using the "LCD reduced" timing option at 72 Hz, then switch to manual and change the refresh rate to 80 Hz.
