If standard uninstall methods did not work, try also disabling via:
Start -> Run -> "msconfig" -> Startup
Hello!

In my haste to install this software I made a mistake. I ran the "setup" program but I did not move the .exe file to my startup folder before I rebooted. Now, after rebooting my screens are black. Windows did start (I could hear the login chime) but I can't see anything.

Can anyone help me please? Thanks in advance.
You shouldn't get a black screen unless you tried to install it on an unsupported monitor.

Boot into safe mode. Then run strobelight-setup.exe and choose "Reset this display" for the first refresh rate.

Thanks, I will try that. My monitors are all Asus 24", and are listed as supported in your first post.
What video card do you have and how do you have the monitors connected?
Evga 780. Connected with dvi-d cables (with one converted to an hdmi cable b/c the video card only has 2 dvi connections).

Update: I was able to boot to safe mode and uninstall as you told me to. Then, after rebooting, I reinstalled it correctly using you instructions on the first post and it appears to work fine. Can't wait to try it out.

Thanks so much for helping me out!!
You can't use HDMI with LightBoost on that monitor. You have to use DisplayPort for the third monitor.
Yep, understood.

It does work for the other two though, even with the HDMI screen not using lightboost.

I've tried it in rFactor2 (racing game), and all I can say is WOW. Absolutely incredible.

Thanks for making this utility available to us.
I have tested on my BenQ XL2420T and it's working properly, I just have one problem...

I'm having trouble for starting windows with strobing off.
As mentioned in your instructions, adding "strobelight-off.exe" to the startup folder should disable strobing.

However, If I booting into Windows, with default strobelight.exe, lightboost Work's good and the Strobing off option, works too...
If I booting with the strobelight-off option I get a weird res and get "incorrect cable type message" in the OSD from my monitor!

If I exit Strobelight with strobing on and run strobelight-off.exe manually, it turn strobing off without any problems!
But If I restart the computer i have the problem explained above...

My monitor is connected with a DVI Dual Link cable, Strobelight is running on startup (with the two methods, strobelight.exe and strobelight-off.exe)
and there is only one copy in the startup folder.

So, no chance to starting windows with strobing off?
I don't see how that could happen. Running on startup should be the same as running it manually.

What video card do you have? What version of Windows are you running?
