I tried both Benq's and Lightboost methods and overall picture is much smother on Benq's blur reduction (that's obviously).
Thank you for detail reply ToastyX!
I cant get it to work - after restarting strobelight.ee only says " no compatible monitor found". Refresh rates are properly set by strobelight-setup.exe.

I couldnt find any hints in the thread that fits my setup/issue.
Thanks in advance Smile

This is a driver bug that affects DVI on some newer cards. It's getting garbled responses from the monitor. It will work with DisplayPort, but the BenQ XL2411T does not have DisplayPort. I don't have a solution at this time.

Too bad, but thanks for quick reply! Keep up the good work Smile
Could anyone help me?

I just reinstalled my Windows 7 64x a week ago.
Before Strobelight-setup.exe worked. Light changed from blue to green.
And now.....
It doesn't work. I done the same. 120hz strobed and 144hz normal. -> Restart. and it all like before.

If someone knows why the hell it doesn't work anymore....
Then please tell me.

Edit: And yes the * showed up in the tool when i open it.
Monitor: Acer Predator GN246HL

AMD Radeon Crimson Relive 17.2.1 (Beta) drivers were the problem.
Downgrade to 16.12.1 drivers and it worked.

same... except the previous drivers (17.1.2) also worked

it's the latest 17.2.1 that broke something
Yup, just upgraded to 17.2.1 on Windows 10 and it broke my install with XL2420TE. Looks like I need to downgrade.
This is the same problem that affects CRU:
(02-14-2017 02:15 AM)ToastyX Wrote: [ -> ]This seems to be a driver bug in 17.2.1. The driver is not loading EDID overrides on startup.

I found one workaround: toggling GPU scaling will load the EDID override, but you'll have to do this every reboot.
So today I noticed that strobelight hasn't been working (who knows for how long, possibly as far back as a couple months since i installed windows 10) and I reinitilized while I was in a match of csgo, only to find that the second I did, I no longer have sound. No speakers, no headset, nothing. I reinstalled my drivers, uninstalled strobelight, checked all of my OS settings I could find... nothing. Great program, have had no complaints until now. But at this moment I am quite frustrated.

Edit: after a few more minutes of tinkering around I got it going again, but im still curious as to how it started in the first place. I had to tinker around between changing my default sound device between my speakers and headset which seems to be working temporarily

(01-02-2017 09:08 AM)PedroGomes Wrote: [ -> ]Any news if there's a way to get Strobelight working on Nvidia surround without doing the hardware mod?
Is Surround still not working with the latest driver? I don't have a way to test it myself. The refresh rates need to be installed with Surround disabled. Then reboot and set up Surround.

I figured out that for Strobelight to work I need to disable Surround on the Nvidia control panel and then enable and reconfigure.

If I restart the PC Strobelight stops working with Surround and I need to disable Surround and reconfigure once more.

Is there a workaround for this?

EDIT: By using CTRL+ALT+R or CTRL+ALT+S I can toggle Surround off and on and that enables Lightboost. However it would be great If when I switch from my single work monitor (a 4th one) to the triple surround setup Lightboost would enable on it's own. If anyone has an idea to get this working I'd sincerely appreciate it.

Btw I'm using Win7 x64, 970 GTX and 3 Asus VG248QE

EDIT2: I also noticed I can't select Strobing On or Off on the taskbar Icon, maybe that's related? Reinitialize Displays and the Brightness settings work.
