Hi Guys.
Thank you a lot for this forum.
Please, could you advice me?
I am using HP eliteBook8570W with AMD M4000 and W10.
I bouth USB3 Dell docking station DL3100 and monitor DellP2314T.
I want to use those additional monitors with resolution 1280x768 or 1280x800 (due to program not scalable), but driver for DellP2314T monitor does not support this resolution.

Monitor on notebook and graphic cart support resolution 1280x768.
What I should do? Please, help me.
Thank you in advance for your support.
USB docking stations act as their own graphics card, and the DisplayLink driver doesn't have a way to add custom resolutions. If you need multiple monitors, get a DisplayPort hub instead.
Hi ToastyX.
Thank you a lot for your answer.
So it means, the Dell D3100 USB 3.0 Docking station is a problem for this resolution?
I managed to write to monitor driver the resolution 1280x768. See enclosed files. If it is OK, I do not know. But as you mentioned, via the Dell D3100 USB 3.0 Docking station and HDMI port I am not able to set this resolution. That is a pity. Is there any workaround for DELL p2314t driver or Dell D3100 USB 3.0 Docking station?

When I conected monitor Dell p2314t via internal VGA port on HPEliteBook8570W the resolution of1280x768 is there.
As far as I found, EnTech Taiwain was prepared the drver for this monitor. Should I write to them?

Anyway, I will try later Display port.
Thank you a lot for your help and time.
Monitor drivers can't add resolutions unless the driver supports EDID overrides, which the DisplayLink driver doesn't.

Maybe you can try the HDMI pin 19 tape trick to block the EDID and get a default set of resolutions:

Thank you a lot for for checking and help.
I have tested the conetion via dell3100 and then hardaware conversion from HDMI to VGA and it was working. Resolution 1280x768 was there.
Then you pointhed me out, that the problem could be on docking USB station Dell3100.

This article help me:
http://support.displaylink.com/knowledge...-when-conn

and resolution for second monitor was added. See enclosed screen shoots files. So updating registry for Dell3100 helps.
I will test more monitors DELLp2314t this week. Conetdion via DisplayConnector and Conversion from Display to HDMI as well. I will give you here feedback.

I have written also to entech, who is driver preparing and here is the answer:

Resolution choices are determined by your graphics controller driver (Intel, AMD, NVidia), not by the monitor manufacturer. You need to direct this question to the gfx driver folks at AMD or HP.
