Hello, I followed this guide ( http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3152...-amd-gpus/ ), but when I go to apply new hertz, tells me that does not support it and no changes takes effect. You know why? I Using an HD 7770 and DVI.

Thank you.
What monitor are you using and what kind of DVI?

Don't use that site. Use monitortests.com and check the CRU thread.

Understand that many monitors do not overclock beyond a few hertz if any

My monitor is G922HDL (monitor 1366x768, 60hz), and I use a Digital DVI-D cable. But don't work, why? Sad
The monitor told you why. It doesn't support the resolution.
The monitor does not tell me anything. The monitor's native resolution is 1366x768, so how it will not be compatible?

I think it has to do with EDID not let me force hertz.

Then what is "This mode is not supported" OSD?

The native resolution is 1366x768 @ 60 Hz. Higher refresh rates will only work if the monitor can handle them.

CRU already overrides the EDID. If you can choose the refresh rate but the monitor says the mode is not supported, then the override is working and the monitor doesn't support the refresh rate.
I retry again with 1366x768 @ 61hz (before 70hz), and is not supported either.

So, something escapes us. It can not be supported itself is 60 hz and 61 no. Do not you think?
What timing parameters have you tried? 1366x768 has unusual timing parameters, so you might have to copy and paste the default 60 Hz timing parameters and just change the refresh rate. If that doesn't work, try the "LCD standard" and "CRT standard" timing options. If those don't work either, then the monitor doesn't support the refresh rate.

I managed to put in 1280x720 @ 75hz and dont gives me error. But when I run the test testufo.com I still indicates 60FPS/60Hz with Firefox 24. Why?
Desktop composition needs to be enabled for that test to work properly. If this is Windows 7, make sure you're using one of the Aero themes and not Basic or Classic.
