Need help with add res via CRU
Hi Community,

Need help with software as I cant get added resolution to on of my 3 monitors.

My config:
GPU
2 x 1080Ti - want to do SPAN-SLi

Monitors:
1 x 34inc ACER ED347CKR (default res 3440x1400 100Hz)
2 x 27inc AOC Q27G2G4 (defaul res 2560x1440 144Hz)

I'm trying to do span with res 7680x1440 60 or 100 Hz (doesn't matter refresh rate)

When I do from NVidia control panel, max res I got for 3 monitors 5760x1080 60Hz

and of course I can't edit res, but ACER can handle 2560x1440 100 Hz if I manually selected this res on single monitor config.

In CRU I tried to create a custom res for SPAN monitor and I'm not able to save new big res: 7680x1440 60 or 100 Hz, OK button is greyed out.

Could someone point me to a right direction on how to add bigger res or it is not possible to do with my monitors config?

Here is a monitors CRU configuration (default)
ACER:

AOC (2 identical)

All monitors are connected via DisplayPorts

Thanks,
Stas

P.S. Apologize but for some reason images are showing as links...

RE: Need help with add res via CRU
CRU does not create spanned resolutions, and editing the "NV Surround" monitor has no effect. NVIDIA Surround requires all monitors to use the same resolution with the same exact timing parameters, so you would have to add 2560x1440 @ 100 Hz to the Acer with the same timing parameters as the AOC. Then you should be able enable Surround and use 7680x1440 @ 100 Hz, but Surround also has an annoying bug that causes it to disable after rebooting when using an EDID override. It's better to use 3 identical monitors, or use AMD GPUs, which supports Eyefinity with mismatched resolutions.

Thank you for your quick response, I will try now you suggestion.

I actually moved out from Vega 64 2x crossfire, as it is useless in almost all games. Will check SLI now :-)

Weird....
Or I just did something wrong.

I added exact settings from AOC 27 to ACER 34 monitor, and got blank screen during windows boot. I added new res to CTA-861, correct?

That's an NVIDIA driver bug then. Try installing 471.11. Some people reported newer versions having issues.

So I did basically everything right, new res need to be added to CTA-861 list.

RE: Need help with add res via CRU
I would say nothing works with old drivers as well.
I found after I added to any window data for ACER from AOC monitors, and reboot PC.
All monitors become black and ACER is blinking once in 1-2 minutes with Windows logon screen for about 1 second, and goes to black again.
I can RDP to PC and once I click on reset-all.exe screen is back to normal.

Are there at least 2 bytes left for data blocks in the extension block after adding the resolution?
