Thanks for your reply.
It basically says "this page cannot be displayed" in IE and "website isn't available" (ERR_CONNECTION_RESET) in chrome Sad

RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
Something is breaking the connection to the server. Are you using any antivirus or firewall software? I've heard of this happening with Avast.

RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
Hi there Toasty!

I just installed the ATI patcher and the CRU utility.

So far, i have been able to OC the QNIX up to 110hz, however, if i go to 120h, i get a picture like the one below

http://tinypic.com/r/10e1ont/5

Can you tell me what is that?

Also, i have run the UFO test on Mozila and i get green light, however says something about stutter...

I have use another xfire bridge to allocate more bandwidth, so far all good.

Now, the part im trying to understand is that, why everytime i want to use windows media center, i can hear the video but there is no image at all, there only a black image (in either of my 3 monitors)

Is this part of the OC? I have had never an issue with it.

Thanks for your help

Edit: Im using 110h and there are none lines like the one on the picture only when i reach 120hz

Looks like the monitor or the cable can't handle it. Did you try the "LCD reduced" timing option? The pixel clock can be reduced further on the QNIX by switching back to manual and setting the totals to 2652x1445.

Browser frame rates are not always perfect. Chrome does a better job on that test.

Did you try the workaround in the original post?

I have tried as you mention me before, i went to CRU and edit the 120h profile, restarted the pc and then switch to 120 from ccc
Selected the reduced timing option

Now that i have oc to 120h, i have tried both chrome and firefox and i get these:

Firefox: VALID but with stutter warning (exactly as before)

Chrome: BROWSER BUG:
Chrome 30 VSYNC bug (Chromium #262437). Try Chrome 29 or 31

RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
Question...

I have a r9 290x and an asus pb278q (2560x1440). HDMI 1.4 can be used with this screen to get the full resolution. Will I need this patch for HDMI, or can I just use the CRU alone? I had an LG 60hz IPS monitor before on HDMI, and I OC'd it to 75hz on hdmi alone. Thank you ahead for the help

That would depend on what the monitor reports in its extension block.

Can you please be more specific? The monitor supports HDMI 1.4 for full 2560x1440@60hz. As far as I know, the pixel clock limit of HDMI 1.4 is 340mhz. Would I need to use your patch?
