I feel tied to using Catalyst 14.4 with Pixel Clock patch 1.2.4 because I really need DXVA support. I spent the last couple months using 14.7 with 1.2.6/7 and all the hardware video processing issues have been a total nightmare.
14.9 seems to have fixed the blue screen problem, so I can remove the workaround and restore the behavior from 14.4.

Try repatching with 1.3: https://www.monitortests.com/atikmdag-patcher-1.3.zip

You still shouldn't have issues with Flash videos regardless, but that might help with the other issues.

Toasty you're a bloody genius! Thanks so much. 14.9 + 1.3 works perfectly.

14.9.2 +1.3 works perfectly with bitstreaming DTSHD, TrueHD.

RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
Hi, I'm French and I use Google translation so do not be surprised if you see mistakes or words in the wrong order ^^
So here is my concern infact, I can change the resolution, but when I do the screen overflows and can not change the option of scaling the catalyst and when I disable the increased scale gpu it is reactivated by default ...
I have the latest drivers 14.9.2
A little trick / solution? Please, I get depressed lol Smile

The screen should not overflow unless you are using a resolution that the monitor does not support.

Huh? Well then what is the principle of this software if you can not put larger resolutions? The resolution is 1920x1080 I would recommend moving to the 2560x1440 & 2560x1600 so I can not?

The most common uses for the patcher are to allow higher refresh rates at the native resolution (overclocking) and to allow monitors with higher resolutions such as 2560x1440 @ 60 Hz and 3840x2160 @ 30 Hz to work with HDMI.

You can put higher resolutions if the monitor supports higher resolutions, but many monitors do not. Some monitors can scale higher resolutions down to the native resolution (downsampling), so some people are using the patcher for that reason.

RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
Hello ToastyX wath do you mean by the fact that the 7990 won't work properly, i have this video card and an lg ub850 which as an hdmi 2.0, the video card got only displayport, no hdmi. I bought an display port to hdmi and was still max out in 1080p. Then i tried out your patch and it worked i got 4k in 30 fps. It is the only way i found to mae it work. For the moment the only downsize is that i can't watch most of the video on the interent like youtube or dailymotion.

That only applies to pixel clocks greater than 300 MHz. 3840x2160 @ 30 Hz is still under 300 MHz.

Internet videos should work fine if you follow the workarounds, and Catalyst 14.9 shouldn't even need any workarounds other than disabling Flash hardware acceleration.

RE: AMD/ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
Hi ToastyX!

I really appreciate the work you're doing for everyone here. I'm wondering if I can use the version 1.3 of the AMD pixel clock patcher for the latest AMD 14.11.2 beta drivers (to play Far Cry 4), or will I have to wait for further notice until the patcher is updated?

Thanks!

1.3 seems to be compatible with 14.11.2.

The patcher is designed to work with future versions as much as possible, so as long as it finds the limits you need, it should work. If not, you'll have to wait for an update.
