Cannot create 2560 x 1440 resolution
I have two laptops. For simplicity I'll call them Old and New. Old is connected to a Dell U2713HM monitor which as a maximum and default resolution of 2560 x 1440 via a DisplayPort cable. When I connect New to this monitor via HDMI the highest resolution listed is 1920 x 1080. I used CRU 1.4.1 to add a detailed resolution of 2560 x 1440 on New using exactly the same settings that CRU shows for the 2560 x 1440 resolution on Old. When I choose the newly added 2560 x 1440 resolution on New the monitor displays a message saying that the frequency is not supported in spite of the fact that the frequencies shown in CRU on New match the frequencies shown in CRU on Old. How can I add a 2560 x 1440 resolution that works?

If it helps, Old is a Lenovo W530 with a NVIDIA Quadro K1000 card.
New is a Dell Precision 7540 with a NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 card.
Note that this is my first attempt to use CRU. Thanks for any help.

RE: Cannot create 2560 x 1440 resolution
The U2713HM does not support 2560x1440 @ 60 Hz with HDMI, but I've read it will allow 30-40 Hz with a custom resolution.
