I've already tried that before with the VG248QE, but it won't accept 120 Hz on the HDMI port. It will accept 120 Hz with an HDMI-DVI cable on the DVI port, but LightBoost modes will only display the left half of the screen stretched out to fill the screen.

CRU won't work with Optimus either, and Intel's control panel doesn't seem to allow going past 165 MHz pixel clock with HDMI, so it's not possible to add 1920x1080 @ 120 Hz.
