Sony GDM-FW900 only 1.65gbps bandwidth problem.
Hello, my name is Axel, this is my first post. First of all thank u to the admin of this forum by created it.

I have an old "but cool" CRT fw-900 and evga geforce 1070 and i would like to see this monitor running at 160hz big resolutions at least 1600x1000 or higher.

I bought 2 diferent "active" adapters:

- Dvi-d to vga: this one dont works bad, i can go 150hz in progressive at 1280x800, and i can go 160hz "interlaced" resolution at 1600x1000. But ofc i have the pixel clock bandwith limit of 1.6 gbps. I can go to 1920x1200 at 50hz, but not at 160hz.

- DisplayPort to vga: i bought this one because i tought i could skip the bw limit and go to 1920x1200 at 100hz progresive, but my surprise is that it has the same limitation plus this adapter dont let me create interlaced resolutions.

So the max i could go at 1920x1200 is 50hz "and thats not good..."

--------------------------------------

My questions is: Theres any way to brake all this limitations and use my FW-900 at high resolutions at 160hz? I installed and patched my nvidia drivers with the clock patcher from this forum, but nothing changed.

I feel lost, if someone can helps me that would be amazing for me.

How this guy has 400 mhz Bandwidth and i only have 165mhz? My problem is the vga cable? The converter? The Video Card?
