That's meant for stereoscopic 3D. You should disable stereoscopic 3D if you're not using 3D glasses. The graph is talking about the LightBoost brightness setting, not 3D depth.

You shouldn't change the totals if you're using LightBoost because it requires specific totals to activate. The vertical total trick is meant for improving the non-LightBoost backlight strobing option that some BenQ monitors have. If your monitor has the blur reduction feature, you can try that instead of LightBoost.

It's not important. It's just whether the sync pulse goes up or down, but monitors generally don't care either way.
