Higher refresh rate Dell SE2417HG
Greetings...Just got a good deal Dell SE2417HG (TN panel) recently. Like to push its refresh rate higher than 60hz (default native 1080p@60hz), tried the CRU as per instruction (great utility), I am able to go as higher as upto 66hz (with 1080p resolution) with no frame drops, anything higher is no good.
ID : DELD08C V : 56 - 76 hz H : 30 - 83 khz Max pixel clock : 170 Mhz 1920x1080@60 (148.50 Mhz + +) ----------------------------- Is the Max pixel clock rules the whole thing regardless what V / H rate is, as long as the Max pixel clock is within the 170 Mhz limit, the setting will be okay ? As I have dual boot with old XP which was built with a old Dell P1110 (CRT) monitor. When I flip over to XP first time with this new monitor, the XP has mistaken assumed it still with the P1110 which offers my many rooms for combination settings. I was able to push this monitor to 1920x1200@70hz, it did as my desktop area is bigger than 1080 and the text/whole xp window looks much BETTER...then next, when I try it again, change back/forward between 1080 and 1200, the XP window no long response to my command, I am not able to play with the 1920x1200@75 any more...Noted the P1110 profile with Max pixel clock as high as 280Mhz. Is there a way to just override the "Range Limits" a bit (risky) or is it locked by the product ID ? |
