The driver automatically adds some standard lower resolutions with GPU scaling. The lower resolution needs to be defined in the EDID for display scaling to be available.

GPU scaling does not add lag. LightBoost only works properly at the native resolution, so GPU scaling is required for lower resolutions to work with LightBoost. You will need to add 1440x1080 as a custom resolution.
