The HDMI 1.4 spec doesn't support more than 340 MHz, and HDMI 2.0 uses the maximum character rate in the HDMI 2.0 data block, which is normally 600 Mcsc, so the maximum TMDS clock doesn't need to be set to 600 MHz. Changing the values only tells the driver what the TV supports. It doesn't send any commands to the hardware.
