I have a working laptop (dell latitude 4310) with 4k 60 fps via usb type c port and a 49-inch monitor with a resolution of 5120x1440, I bought a usb hdmi dock with 4k 60 fps support, but the monitor works through the dock only in a resolution of 3840 x 1080, while if I connect the dock to my wife's laptop, the monitor starts work in a resolution of 5120x1440x75 hertz. Such a question if I export the EDID registry settings from my wife's laptop to a work laptop, will it help to enable the native resolution of an additional monitor on a work laptop? The EDID comes from the monitor. It would not change on different computers. There is a hardware limitation on your laptop. Thanks for the quick response So even CRU won't help? 5120x1440 is less than 4k (4k 60 fps is supported according to information from vendor - dell) |
