RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I have a SEIKI SE39UY04 monitor, and a AMD FirePro M8900 gpu in a Dell M6600 Workstation.
DisplayPort > HDMI Every time I plug it in, I get 1080p/60 resolution. I started adding custom resolutions to no avail. I then found the amd patch. That didn't help. So I created an INF file from MonInfo and imported that into CRU. Now when I plug in I get the full 3840x2160 resolution, but it seems windows is scaling up the resolution from 1920x1080 to 3840x2160. Kind of odd. I've restarted a few times and when I do that it goes back to windows outputting 1080p/60, if I unplug the monitor and plug it back in, I get the 3840x2160 upscaled from 1920x1080. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it so I can actually select 3840x2160 in the screen settings. Also when I unplug/replug it goes into duplicating the display, even though I've had extend desktop selected. Thanks for the help! A **Update - I think CCC is telling the monitor to scale it. I selected "Use centered timings" and it showed the correct size image on the monitor. However it was just a 1920x1080 image of the desktop mirrored within the 3840x2160 resolution. |
