RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)

I used CRU to create a custom cta-861 block and windows was totally fine with it, it worked perfectly until i used CRU to create a different unrelated resolution and now the hdmi converter will not be recognised by windows as an active monitor at all if i try to put an interlaced resolution into it. I can put literally any progressive resolution into it (although it appears scrambled on screen obviously) but the instant i choose an interlaced resolution, windows's display settings say the monitor "isn't active", blanks the screen and will not allow me to change any settings, so i have to reinstall the device.576i is supposed to be 1440x576i. HDMI doesn't officially support pixel clocks less than 25 MHz. The driver shouldn't have let you choose 720x576i if the hardware can't do it, so that's a bug in Intel's driver. |
