Will try the patch again, but 75hz already looks like a good result.There are no cons to the monitor, but the video card might not reduce the memory clock when idle if the vertical blanking/total is reduced. "LCD reduced" just tries to reduce the timing parameters for certain resolutions to fit within 165 MHz or 330 MHz. It doesn't need to reduce 74 Hz as much as 75 Hz, so the timing is different and ends up leaving a little headroom for 75 Hz. You can try the 75 Hz timing parameters with 74 Hz, but 72-74 Hz have the same timing parameters and that didn't seem to help. I've also seen monitors where 75 Hz wouldn't work at all but 77-80 Hz did work, so it can depend on the monitor's hardware. |
