It doesn't support 3840x2160. You need to use DSR if you want 3840x2160, not custom resolutions. You can technically use higher resolutions than the monitor supports but there are some limits and the refresh rate may be limited. I actually got a 1920x1080 screen to display 1920x1440@120hz (!) without going out of range, but this was tricky...The default vertical total didn't work. it would show a display but would show "Out of range!" on the OSD. Then it would make me select a new input. Re-selecting displayport (or DVI) would close the out of range error afterwards but I could not do anything in the OSD. I got it working without an out of range error by increasing the VT to 1500. The OSD actually reported the resolution correctly as 1920x1440, so this was not a fluke. Masterotaku got 2560x1440@60hz working on his XL2411z, but he said this was GPU scaled (no idea if you can gpu scale UPWARDS). not DSR btw. |
