RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
*** EDIT: FIXED - Seems that it was an NVIDIA Driver issue. Updating to latest resolved all problems ***
Hi. I wonder if anyone can help a poor n00b with this. I have a 3x monitor setup. 2x DELL FP1907 5:4 aspect ratio and a native resolution of 1280x1024 and a Samsung 16:10 aspect ratio running at 1920x1200 (DELL-Samsung-DELL) Now, when I was running Win8.1, I could use the NVIDIA CP to custom resolution the 2x DELLs to 1500x1200 (giving a total screen resolution of 4920x1200 when playing games). When I upgraded to Win10, this option was no longer available. I receive a message from the NVIDIA CP saying that the custom res (1500x1200) is not supported with the DELL’s, So I downloaded CRU When I use CRU to ‘change’ the DELL’s to 1500x1200, and then go to Windows display properties, I can see the option to change to 1500x1200, but when I choose this resolution, the DELL monitor(s) themselves report that this resolution is not available. Which is frustrating because I know that they can display this from before. Now, I will admit, I don’t know nothing about changing porches, sync widths, blanking’s or frequencies. I just left them on ‘default’, and I’m guessing for this to work, I need to manually edit these. Can anyone help me with this? I can provide further information if required. |
