RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hello! I am sorry to post - I am sure there is an answer somewhere here already but I am a proper computer noob so I don't follow most of the conversation here.
I would appreciate your help - I upgraded to windows 8.1 and my computer resolution, like many people here, is messed up. I used to be 1920x1080 on my windows 7, but now the maximum it lets me to do is 1600x1200 and it looks horrible. I see that most people post their specs so I hope these are correct (I took them off Speccy): OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 @ 2.33 GHz RAM: 4.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @332 MHz Graphics: Generic Non-PnP Monitor (1600x1200 @64 Hz) NVIDIA (with microsoft basic display adapter) I am using CRU 1.2.6. I have tried to use your programme to my best understanding but I worry I have done it wrong so it doesn't change anything. I selected the monitor and did a detailed resolution to 1920x1080 @64 Hz and added a custom extension block that I edited to have 2 data block bytes left. I then restarted the graphics card and tried to change my display resolution in settings but it now only has one option 1600x1200 with no change (it had 3 options before). I attached a picture that may be more helpful than me rambling on and trying to explain what I want. Please let me know if it's something I have done wrong or if I need to do something in addition. Please help! |
