Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)

I’m trying to figure out how to send a 3840x1600 HDR signal from my pc to my epson 5040ub projector. I use an anamorphic lens for a 2.35 screen. This PJ won’t accept anything above a 4k60 4.2.0 8 bit signal, and that’s why I use an HDfury linker to downsample the HDR. Problem is, I can’t seem to get HDR and the custom res to work; it only wants to work in 4k. Is CRU the tool I need to make this work? Can I somehow force HDR with this custom resolution? Like I said, the linker will bring the HDR down to an accepted format for the PJ so it can be a 4.4.4 HDR signal. Only other thing I need it to do is pass thru audio for an Atmos receiver.
