Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)

After the changes to the detailed resolution (such as just setting it to 144hz) and doing restarts, it would not display the option to go to 144hz. And I couldn't even get 2560x1440 60hz to display anymore, it only showed 1920x1080 60hz. I tried setting it lower like 120hz, this worked but only on 1920x1080 and lower, anything higher wouldn't display.

Are you using DVI, HDMI, or DisplayPort?
