P.S. There is a way to know for sure if the output is in fullrgb?

I don't have a way to check, but DVI is always supposed to be full-range RGB. If you're using DVI on the monitor's end and the extension block doesn't have an HDMI data block, then it should be sending a full-range DVI signal.
