RE: NVIDIA Pixel Clock Patcher
I just got a QNIX QX2710 and I was able to run the Pixel Clock Patcher and then overclock the 2560x1440 resolution to 96hz with no problems.
When I tried to set it to 120hz, the screen went black for maybe 20 seconds and seemed like it was OK and asked if I wanted to keep resolution, etc. I clicked yes and it went black for a long time and I actually rebooted because it took so long. When windows came back up, I selected the 120hz profile and it loaded after maybe 15-20 seconds, but the mouse would sort of stop/freeze every 8-10 seconds for a couple of seconds and this behavior repeated until I rebooted. So a few questions. I heard that GeForce Experience can cause problems with overclocking. Should I uninstall that application? Also, the Pixel Clock that I downloaded had two versions, a normal and a full. Which one should I be using? I'm running SLI'd 670's which is why I ran the Pixel Clock Patcher. |
