144hz on asus vg248qe ?
Hi guys i just bought a brand new Asus vg258qe monitor and i cant cet it to 144hz. All I see is 60hz.. I used the dual link dvi cable that came in the box . My gpu is a Radeon r7 250 ... What am I doing wrong here I need help lol thank you

If your video card has two DVI ports, try the other port. Only one of the ports is dual-link on older AMD cards.

If it only has one, then either it's a single-link DVI port, or the driver is not handling it correctly.

I saw your post on Tom's hardware.
Your video card doesn't have a dual link dvi port.
The GPU is too slow to support the bandwidth required. It's basically an entry level value card that was not designed for gaming.

The wiki doesn't have the slots, but the MSI page has the specs listed.

You would need the R9 version of this card if you wanted a dual link dvi port.
