RE: Help with CRU settings (Samsung odyssey G + RX 9070 XT)
DSC is display stream compression. The amount I put in should have been enough, so increasing it more shouldn't make a difference. There will be a limit, but it depends on the monitor and the amount of bandwidth left. Either the monitor won't display it, or it won't be listed anymore because of bandwidth limitations. You need to edit the resolution/refresh rate that is having the issue.

Ok, thanks
I'll ask AMD if they have a solution, and in case something clever comes up, I'll make sure to share it.

Thanks for the support! Cool

RE: Help with CRU settings (Samsung odyssey G + RX 9070 XT)
Hi again

I found a way to solve this - sort of, at least.
I enabled Hybrid Graphics, plugged the HDMI into the motherboard and did some benchmarking to make sure I did not loose a ton of performance.
Indeed I did not.
- Furmark, 4K = 17% increase in score
- 3D mark = 1% decrease in score

Perhaps there are some downsides to this hybrid-GFX-thing, but so far I haven't found any. No weird behavior in any game so far, and the down-clocking and power consumption is very good/low.

Power consumption is down from (measured at the wall outlet):
- 97W to 65W in idle + power saving mode in Windows (-33%)
- 118 to 87W in idle + high performance mode in Windows (-26%)

Everything is run with 165hz + FreeSync + adaptive refresh rate.

Hope this can help others.

In case I need to use the discrete card directly (haven't seen a case yet, but I'll keep testing), I can easily just plug the HDMI cable into the discrete card "on the fly". This could of course be a non-starter for some people, but at least in my case, I have not seen any issue with the hybrid-GFX so far.
