Thanks for this amazing piece of software!

I've been using CRU for some time to be able to use ULMB2 with my AMD graphics card by unchecking "Include slots if available" in range limits for my PG27AQN monitor. It was a set and forget thing that I needed to set again after a GPU driver update.

This weekend I upgraded my GPU from 6800XT to 9070XT, did a full driver uninstall, but now everytime I restart my PC, even though the changed profile is set active, I need to launch restart64.exe to get the settings back into effect and be able to use ULMB2 on my monitor again (the ULMB2 toggle is grayed out in my monitor's menu without it). After every restart64.exe launch, a second profile for the same monitor appears in the drop-down menu. This doesn't happen for the 2nd monitor for which I'm not making any changes in CRU as I don't need it.

Also I'm not sure what an asterisk means next to the monitor name, I haven't noticed if it has been there before or not and if it might have something to do with the settings being ignored on reboot.

Any ideas what might be going on?
Any issue that goes away after restarting the graphics driver would indicate a graphics driver bug. Seems like the driver is not actually disabling adaptive sync until you restart the driver, so I'm not sure what to do about that.

It's normal for another profile to appear for the main monitor when restarting the graphics driver because of the basic display driver. * means changes were saved, so that's not an issue.

Hey Toasty I found this website? Is it an imposter or someone just trying to get ad revenue off of the program or is it an alternate website or something of yours?
https://customresolutionutility.net
Just need to know. The CRU there appears identical in functionality and even credits you clearly.

It's not my site, so probably for ad revenue. The file is identical, so it's safe.

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
I'm trying to make a custom 27:9 4320x1440 resolution on my Samsung G93SC (32:9 5120x1440, 240Hz) and I'm not sure where I'm going wrong with CRU. I made an extension block DisplayID 2.0 entry with Manual timing that has a pixel clock of 1531.200Mhz as well as CVT-RB2 that has a pixel clock of 1709.664, neither worked. I admittedly don't use CRU very often but it seemed like it "went through" and made the entry but I can't seem to get the custom res to show in NVCP or Windows.

Not sure if within the scope of CRU but figured it couldn't hurt to mention: I can't get the "customize..." option in NVCP to un-grey despite image sharpening and DSR off (also tried lower refresh rates), and tried a regedit for Windows that still produced no result in either Windows or NVCP's resolution lists. Any idea where I might be going wrong here?

if it's relevant I'm using a 4070 Ti Super on NV driver 591.86 and I'm on Windows 11 Pro 25H2 build 26200.7840

It's the NVIDIA DSC issue mentioned in the first post. You can use SRE to add 4320x1440.
