Asus monitor CRU black screen
I just got an ASUS ROG Swift Pro PG248QP 500hz monitor and i use a custom resolution 1722x1070, this monitor just goes black after i apply my res to my windows settings and when i screen share on discord i can see that the display is working but the monitor is still black, ive tried using different resolutions like ones that windows supports by default and nothing, anytime this monitor changes res it goes black, ive tried disabling ulmb2 ive tried going into a lower refresh rate i feel like ive tried everything and i would like some help with solutions if anyone knows any.

RE: Asus monitor CRU black screen
Monitors with the G-SYNC processor do not support most non-native resolutions. You have to use GPU scaling.

Is there any way to improve the pixel quality of GPU scaling? looks alot worse than display scaling. Also do you happen to know if downscaling from a native 2k monitor to 1722x1070 have any negative effects or is it negligible like a 1920x1080 monitor, thank you by the way. |

RE: Asus monitor CRU black screen
Using a resolution with 1080 lines would improve the quality since it would only have to scale in one direction. 1738x1080 is the same aspect ratio. I don't know what you mean by negative effects.

RE: Asus monitor CRU black screen
It would be upscaling, and yes, it will be blurrier on a higher resolution monitor.
