instead of going to 144.00 (and opening up 10bit)
CRU works with NVIDIA. Does the .bin have a "Default extension block"? NVIDIA ignores overrides with default extension blocks.

Run reset-all.exe and restart. Is CRU able to read the extension block? If so, import the file, then click "Reset" under extension blocks.

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
Hi, I would appreciate some help. I have a msi gf63 laptop. Mine is 60hz, but there is a variant with a 120hz screen. I've been trying to overclock mine under the assumption (probably right) that they just use one panel and force 60 o 120hz via firmware or wathever.
I've managed to overclock mine to 108,50 hz (1080p). I can not go any higher because when I exceed 240.00 mHz pixel clock intel's graphics control panel wont even show me that custom resolution.
From my research there is no standard 240mhz cap for any connection (?). I've also used the nvidia pixel clock patcher btw. So could anybody give me a hint on what to do next please? There is a screenshot of my current custom res attached, see how the pixel clock is just under 240. Anything above that won't even show as an elegible option in the graphics panel. Thanks in advance.

Hello! For starters I want to thank you for your post! I own a laptop in the same range. I was stuck at a custom resolution of 97 hz. When I saw your post, I created a special account on the forum to thank you very much!! Heart
From what I could see, the limit is 240 mhz. For me, too, it does not exceed the value of 108,500 hz. Did you manage to find a solution? So we can reach at least 144hz? I'm not very familiar with CRU, but can't we subtract from the front porch and sync width? So we can lower the 240 mhz limit? Huh

RE: Custom Resolution Utility (CRU)
240 MHz is the limit for 2-lane eDP, and that's with 6 bpc color. The limit for 8 bpc color is 180 MHz. This is common with laptops. The patcher does nothing for DisplayPort limits. DisplayPort is packet-based and runs at fixed clock speeds.

I meant in the extension block list, not the type. The .bin files are valid, but NVIDIA's driver has a bug that causes it to ignore overrides that don't have at least 2 bytes left for data blocks. You can delete the HDMI data block because it's not needed with DisplayPort, and you don't really need the TV resolutions either.

My graphic card is a 2080 ti.

How do I force 4k 120hz and 4:2:0 in cru? When I add the resolution like normal there is no way of changing it to 4:2:0 and the screen goes black because the bandwidth is to high without 4:2:0 enabled.
In the CEA-861 extension block, add a TV resolutions data block with "4:2:0 resolutions" checked, but I don't know if the driver supports 4K @ 120 Hz that way. I don't know how he got it working with NVIDIA's custom resolution because that normally doesn't allow selecting YCbCr 4:2:0.

Thanks for helping me! Smile I removed "4:2:0 cabability map" from Data block. Then I added a new data block "tv resolutions" and then I added 3840x2160 with 4:2:0 enabled. I then restarted and tested the resolution and this time I didn´t get black screen instead it shows 3840x2160 and 120hz when I click info screen on the remote. The problem is the screen artifacting like if you choose a resloution that the HDMI 2.0 can´t handle. Partly green screen with artifacting horizontal lines. So it seems it doesn´t work. My cable works with HDR and 4k at 60hz so the cable should be able to output the bandwidth of 3840x2160, 120hz and 4:2:0.
I just don´t understand how this person got it working: https://lebgeeks.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=18305

Do you think there is a solution for this or the x930e probably isn´t supporting 3840x2160, 120hz and 4:2:0?
