Issues Huawei MateView GT 34
Good afternoon, I come to you because I don't know what else to do.
Summarizing I bought a Huawei MateView GT 34" monitor (with sound bar) the problem arises now that I want to change the refresh rate of the screen and Windows detects the monitor as Generic PnP (via HDMI 2.0).
And in macbook bigSur version also via HDMI (macbook 2015 model has hdmi input) the same thing happens to me and I do not get the option to change the frequency rate, when it is supposed to have 165 hz (this with display port).
On the other hand my previous screen a HP 24F 75hz detects it in both MAC OS and Windows Perfectly.

Thanks in advance and best regards.

RE: Issues Huawei MateView GT 34
3440x1440 @ 165 Hz requires HDMI 2.1 or DisplayPort 1.3.
HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 are not sufficient.

Yes but i don't need all the hz, the problem is i can't add at least the 75hz like my last monitor, (and today i got for the mac thunderbolt 2 to usb C connection and nothing... THE SPECIFICATION OF CABLE IS WRONG THIS PART IS MY BAD) just only works on hdmi Huh, and on Windows is appearing like Generic PnP (i tried to update the controllers and nothing.. also the same problem at least 60hz)

by the way the max resolution which i got on mac and windows are 2580x1440

RE: Issues Huawei MateView GT 34
"Generic PnP Monitor" is normal and not a problem.

The HP 24F is 1920x1080. 3440x1440 requires more than twice the bandwidth.

The 2015 MacBook models have older Intel GPUs that only support HDMI 1.4, and the Windows driver only allows up to 300.99 MHz pixel clock, which isn't even enough for 3440x1440 @ 60 Hz.

You should be able to use a simple Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable on the Thunderbolt port. DisplayPort 1.2 supports up to 720 MHz pixel clock, which should allow 3440x1440 @ 120 Hz. DisplayPort 1.1 only supports half that before dropping the color depth to 6 bpc.
