"NV-FAILSAFE" USB-C to DisplayPort Cable Issues
Hey everyone,

I've come across a strange issue and I'm hoping someone here might have experienced something similar or can offer some advice.

Here's the situation:

Monitor: Huawei MateView G27
Laptops:
Lenovo 14 ThinkBook (work laptop)
Gigabyte G5 KC (gaming laptop)
The Problem: I've been using a USB-C to DisplayPort cable to connect my Lenovo 14 ThinkBook to my Huawei MateView G27 monitor, and it's been working flawlessly. However, when I try to connect the same monitor using the same cable to my Gigabyte G5 KC gaming laptop, the monitor isn't properly detected. Instead of recognizing the Huawei monitor, the laptop seems to detect a "nv-failsafe" display. This "nv-failsafe" display is much smaller and doesn't match the characteristics of my monitor.

I'm not sure why this is happening, especially since the cable and monitor combo works perfectly with my other laptop.

Has anyone encountered a similar problem or can offer any troubleshooting steps? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks and best regards.
