				missing ranges?

					Hi,

I'm having brightness flickering with my gsync compatible monitor (The Samsung G9 Odyssey) and I read that reducing the range limits would resolve this, however...mine are all missing? This is a 240Hz monitor, but all the default ranges seem to be missing, I've attempted a reset, but no go, any idea? https://imgur.com/yViwZUI Thanks. |

That monitor uses DisplayID instead of EDID when set to 5120x1440 @ 240 Hz. It shows a full EDID when set to a lower refresh rate. I don't know if it's possible to override DisplayID with an EDID override. If it is possible, you would have to add a DisplayID extension block and manually add the resolutions, and you can add a FreeSync data block in a CEA-861 extension block. Usually the first extension block is CEA-861 and the second is DisplayID, but CRU can't read more than one extension block with NVIDIA, so I don't know if anything else is needed in the DisplayID extension block.
