That's how it's supposed to work. LightBoost is tied to 3D mode.

Hmm, that's odd since it never done that before. It completely locks my monitor so that I can not change profiles and has a red/pink tint all over it that makes it unusable.

I guess if that's how it's suppose to work, I have no option, guess I need to get nVidia card soon!

Thanks though.

What's the last amd drivers version strobelight works well on?
I currently have Crimson 16.3 and while the program can find a compatible display successfully and even change the refresh rate to 120hz as needed the 3D mode is not enabled in the monitor! There is nothing suspicious in the debug log either.
My monitor is XL2411T

I'm not seeing any issues with the latest driver. Are the refresh rates are installed? The debug log won't show issues with EDID overrides.

Alright, it works after installing it again through strobelight-setup. I didn't realize I need to do that after driver update. Thanks!
Also, is there any easy way to switch between 144hz / 120hz-strobed / 120hz non-strobed with hotkeys? I figured you can only switch between non-strobed highest chosen (144hz) and strobed (120hz) in my case

That's not a LightBoost monitor. Only the monitors listed in the first post are compatible.

You can use this program to make your own hotkeys: http://funk.eu/hrc/

RE: Strobelight - LightBoost Utility for AMD/ATI and NVIDIA
Hi!

I have an ASUS VG248QE and tried lightboost before, but I couldn't bear the lack of brightness *and* my CPU couldn't hold constant 120fps on most games without sacrificing too much video quality (I have a single GTX 970).

Now I know I can try to adjust brightness and color in NVCP, OK, but my question is:
Can I run LB in my VG248QE @ 60hz?

RE: Strobelight - LightBoost Utility for AMD/ATI and NVIDIA
Greetings,

I have moved to Windows 10 and have a GTX 780 and an Asus VG278H.

I currently am running my sound through HDMI to an AV receiver. *This ends up being a two monitor setup since I need to use the dual link DVI for 3D.

When I install strobelight, it disables the audio over HDMI on my video card. Video over HDMI works fine. I get it back when I uninstall strobelight (reset the display).

Is there a work around or could a patch be implemented?

Also note that Strobelight.exe needs to be manually added to the startup in Win 10, but the strobelight does start up automatically even without the exe running.

I'm not the most acknowledged tech person here, but isn't hdmi cables somewhat limited in bandwidth matters? Maybe it won't support strobelight + audio. Have you tried Dual DVI cables or Display Port? They have far more bandwidth. DVI being only for video, DP for both video and audio.
